ప్రస్తుతం ఇంగ్లాండ్ - న్యూజిలాండ్ మధ్య జరుగుతున్న వరల్డ్కప్ ఫైనల్లో ఓ ఆసక్తికర అంశం చోటు చేసుకుంది. ఈ మ్యాచ్కు అంపైరింగ్ చేస్తున్న కుమార ధర్మసేన ప్రపంచకప్ ఛాంపియన్గా నిలిచిన జట్టులో సభ్యుడు. 1996లో విశ్వవిజేతగా నిలిచిన శ్రీలంక జట్టులో భాగస్వామి.

ప్రపంచకప్ సభ్యుడై.. ఇప్పుడు ఫైనల్ మ్యాచ్కు అంపైరింగ్ చేస్తున్న ఏకైక వ్యక్తిగా కుమార ధర్మసేన కీర్తిగడించాడు. 48 ఏళ్ల ధర్మసేన 1993 నుంచి 2004 మధ్య లంక జట్టు తరఫున 141 వన్డేలు, 31 టెస్టులు ఆడాడు. ఆల్రౌండర్గా ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు. అనంతరం అంపైర్గా బాధ్యతలు నిర్వహిస్తున్నాడు.

"Over the weekend I heard Nasrallah's arrogant remarks on his attack plans. In contrast to Nasrallah, I do not intend to detail our plans. It is enough to recall that Nasrallah had – for years – dug terrorist tunnels, which we destroyed within days."

STORYLINE:
Israel's prime minister has issued a tough warning to Hezbollah, saying Israel will deliver a "crushing" strike if the Lebanese militant group attempts to attack.
Benjamin Netanyahu was reacting to comments made by Hezbollah's leader, Hassan Nasrallah.
In a wide-ranging interview, Nasrallah boasted that his group was much stronger than it was during a 2006 war.
Speaking at a meeting of his Cabinet on Sunday, Netanyahu called Nasrallah's words "arrogant".
The prime minister has acknowledged carrying out scores of airstrikes in neighbouring Syria aimed at preventing sophisticated weapons from reaching Hezbollah.
