இதில் வில்வித்தை போட்டியில் கலப்பு இரட்டையர் பிரிவில் இந்திய ஜோடி ஜோதி வென்னம், ஓஜாஸ் டியோடேல் தங்கப் பதக்கம் வென்று சாதனை படைத்தனர். முன்னதாக தகுதிச் சுற்றில் தென் கொரியாவின் சோ சாவ்வொன், ஜூ ஜாஹூன் ஜோடி இந்திய இணை எதிர்கொண்டது. விறுவிறுப்பாக நடந்த இந்த ஆட்டத்தில் இந்திய ஜோடி 159க்கு 158 என்ற புள்ளிகள் கணக்கில் வென்று ஆசிய வில்வித்தையின் அதிகபட்ச சாதனையை சமன் செய்து இருந்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

இதற்கு முன் கடந்த 2018ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்தோனேஷியா தலைநகர் ஜாகர்தாவில் நடைபெற்ற ஆசிய விளையாட்டு போடியில் அதிகபட்சமாக 70 பதக்கங்களை இந்திய அணி கைப்பற்றி இருந்தது. தற்போது சீனாவின் ஹாங்சோ நகரில் நடைபெற்று வரும் ஆசிய விளையாட்டில் இந்திய அணி 71 பதக்கங்களை கைப்பற்றி சாதனை படைத்து உள்ளது.

அதேபோல், ஆசிய விளையாட்டில் இந்தியாவின் உச்சபட்ச தங்க பதக்கமான 16 தங்க பதக்கத்தையும், தற்போதை ஹாங்சோ விளையாட்டில் இந்திய அணி சமன் செய்து உள்ளது.
