ஈஸ்டர் திருநாளான இன்று இலங்கையின் தேவாலயங்கள் மற்றும் நட்சத்திர விடுதிகள் உட்பட எட்டு இடங்களில் தொடர் குண்டுவெடிப்புச் சம்பவங்கள் நிகழ்ந்தன. இதில் 207 பேர் கொல்லப்பட்டனர். மேலும் 450-க்கும் மேற்பட்டோர் பலத்த காயம் ஏற்பட்டு உயிருக்கு போராடி வருகின்றனர்.
இந்நிலையில் இந்த நிகழ்வில் கொல்லப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு பல்வேறு தரப்பினரும் இரங்கல் தெரிவித்துவரும் நிலையில், கிரிக்கெட் வீரர்களும் இரங்கலை பதிவிட்டு வருகின்றனர். இது குறித்து இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் அணியின் கேப்டன் விராட் கோலி பதிவிட்டதில், இலங்கை குண்டுவெடிப்பு சம்பவம் அதிர்ச்சியளிக்கிறது. இதில் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களுக்கு இரங்கலை தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன் எனப் பதிவிட்டுள்ளார்.
