सिडनी - आयपीएलचे तेरावे पर्व संपल्यानंतर भारताने ऑस्ट्रेलियाविरुद्धची मोहीम हाती घेतली आहे. आज शुक्रवारपासून भारत आणि ऑस्ट्रेलिया यांच्यातील एकदिवसीय मालिकेला सुरुवात झाली. मालिकेच्या पहिल्या सामन्यात ऑस्ट्रेलियाने प्रथम फलंदाजी करताना भारतासमोर ३७४ धावा उभारल्या. दरम्यान भारतीय संघ गोलंदाजी करत असताना एका वाहिनीवर ऑस्ट्रेलियाचा माजी क्रिकेटपटू अॅडम गिलख्रिस्ट समालोचन करत होता. यावेळी गिलख्रिस्टकडून एक मोठी चूक झाली.
काही दिवसांपूर्वी भारताचा युवा गोलंदाज मोहम्मद सिराजच्या वडिलांचे निधन झाले. मात्र, समालोचन करताना गिलख्रिस्टने नवदीप सैनीच्या वडिलांचे निधन झाले असे म्हटले. यावरून गिलख्रिस्टविरोधी सोशल मीडियावर नाराजी व्यक्त करण्यात आली. आपली चूक कळल्यानंतर गिलख्रिस्टनेही माफी मागितली.
