मुंबई - बॉलिवूडचे प्रसिद्ध गीतकार जावेद अख्तर कायमच त्यांच्या बेधडक वक्तव्यांमुळे चर्चेत येत असतात. नुकतचं त्यांनी एक वादग्रस्त वक्तव्य केले आहे. खिल्जीने भारताला मुघल सैन्यापासून वाचवले होते, असे जावेद अख्तर एका चर्चेदरम्यान म्हणाले. त्यावरून नेटेकऱ्यांनी त्यांच्यावर टीकेची झोड उठवली आहे. तर काही जणांनी त्यांना पाठिंबाही दिला आहे.
२8 एप्रिलला जावेद अख्तर आणि तरिक फताह यांच्या दरम्यान एका वाहिनीवरील कार्यक्रमात जोरदार वादविवाद झाले. यावेळी दोघांनी भारतीय उपखंडातील राष्ट्रवाद, धार्मिक अस्मिता आणि राजकारणावर चर्चा केली. यावेळी अल्लाउद्दीन खिल्जी यांनी चार वेळा मुघल सैन्यांपासून भारताला वाचवले होते, असे अख्तर म्हणाले. त्याच्या या वक्तव्याचे पडसाद सोशल मीडियावरीह उमटले आहेत.

दरम्यान जावेद अख्तर यांनी तरेक फताह यांचे लक्ष केवळ कट्टरपंथीयांच्याच बाजूला आहे, असा आरोप केला. तसेच कोणत्याही प्रकारचा जातीयवाद सहन करू नये, असा धर्मनिरपेक्ष असण्याचा अर्थ आहे, असेही ते म्हणाले.
