मेक्सिकोमधून अवैधरीत्या अमेरिकेत घुसण्याच्या प्रयत्नातील 325 भारतीय स्वगृही

मेक्सिकोमार्गे अमेरिकेत घुसण्याचा प्रयत्न करणाऱ्या ३२५ नागरिकांना मेक्सिकोने पुन्हा भारताच्या हवाली केले आहे. आज एका विमानाने त्यांना दिल्ली विमानतळावर आणण्यात आले.

नवी दिल्ली - मेक्सिकोमार्गे अमेरिकेत घुसण्याचा प्रयत्न करणाऱ्या ३२५ नागरिकांना मेक्सिकोने पुन्हा भारताच्या हवाली केले आहे. मागील काही महिन्यांपूर्वी एजंटच्या मदतीने या नागरिकांनी बेकायदेशीरपणे मेक्सिकोमध्ये प्रवेश केला होता. तेथून ते अमेरिकेत जाण्याच्या प्रयत्नात असताना त्यांना पकडण्यात आले होते. मेक्सिकोने विशेष विमानाने त्यांची भारतामध्ये रवानगी केली आहे.

अमेरिकेत प्रवेश मिळवून देण्याचे आश्वासन एजंटने या लोकांना दिले होते. त्यासाठी प्रत्येकी २५ ते ३० लाख घेण्यात आले होते. यातील बहुतांश नागरिक पंजाब राज्यातील आहेत. दोन खासगी विमानाद्वारे सर्वजण मेक्सिकोमध्ये गेले होते, असे भारतीय इमिग्रेशन विभागाच्या अधिकाऱ्याने नाव उघड न करण्याच्या अटीवर काल(गुरुवारी) सांगितले. या सर्वांना भारतात आणण्यासाठी विशेष विमानाची सोय मेक्सिको देशाने केली आहे. ६० सुरक्षा रक्षक नागरिकांना घेऊन भारतात येणार आहेत. मेक्सिकोमधील तोलूका विमानतळावरून निघालेले विशेष विमान आज (शुक्रवारी) दिल्लीत पोहचले.

नागरिकांच्या स्थलांतरणाची प्रक्रिया पूर्ण करण्यास तीन ते चार तासांपेक्षा जास्त वेळ लागणार नाही. याप्रकरणी कायदेशीर खटला दाखल करण्यात येऊ शकतो. तसेच अवैध प्रवेश मिळून देण्यामागे असणाऱ्या एजंटसंबधी तपास केला जाईल, असे इमिग्रेशन विभागाच्या अधिकाऱ्याने एएनआय वृत्तसंस्थेला सांगितले.
