ഗോൾ രഹിതമായ ആദ്യ പകുതിക്ക് ശേഷം രണ്ടാം പകുതിയിലാണ് ഇരു ഗോളുകളും പിറന്നത്. 60-ാം മിനിട്ടിൽ വി പി സുഹൈറാണ് നോർത്ത് ഈസ്റ്റിനായി ആദ്യം വലകുലുക്കിയത്. തൊട്ടുപിന്നാലെ 68-ാം മിനിട്ടിൽ പാട്രിക് ഫ്‌ളോട്ടമാൻ രണ്ടാം ഗോളും നേടി.

മത്സരത്തിന്‍റെ ആദ്യ ഘട്ടം മുതൽ ആക്രമണത്തിലും പന്തടക്കത്തിലും ഈസ്റ്റ് ബംഗാളാണ് മുന്നിട്ട് നിന്നതെങ്കിലും ഗോൾ നേടാൻ മാത്രം സാധിച്ചില്ല. രണ്ടാം പകുതിയിലെ ഇഞ്ചുറി ടൈമിൽ ആന്‍റോണിയോ പെർസോവിച്ച് ചുവപ്പ് കാർഡ് കണ്ട് മടങ്ങിയതോടെ 10 പേരുമായാണ് ഈസ്റ്റ് ബംഗാൾ മത്സരം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയത്.

വിജയത്തോടെ ഏഴ് മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ഏഴ് പോയിന്‍റുമായി കേരള ബ്ലാസ്റ്റേഴ്‌സിനെ മറികടന്ന് നോർത്ത് ഈസ്റ്റ് ഏഴാം സ്ഥാനത്തേക്കെത്തി. ഏഴ് മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ മൂന്ന് പോയിന്‍റ് മാത്രമുള്ള ഈസ്റ്റ് ബംഗാൾ അവസാന സ്ഥാനത്താണ്.
