ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ടീമിന്‍റെ സൂപ്പർ ഫാനെന്ന വിശേഷണം ലഭിച്ച ചാരുലത പട്ടേല്‍ അന്തരിച്ചു. 87 വയസായിരുന്നു. അവർക്ക് ആദരാഞ്ജലി അർപ്പിച്ച് ബിസിസിഐ ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്‌തു. ചാരുലത പട്ടേല്‍ എന്നും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലുണ്ടാകും. അവരുടെ ക്രിക്കറ്റിനോടുള്ള താല്‍പര്യം ഞങ്ങളെ പ്രചോദിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നും ട്വീറ്റില്‍ പറയുന്നു.

കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം ജൂലൈയിൽ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടില്‍ നടന്ന ഏകദിന ലോകകപ്പിനിടെയാണ് ചാരുലത എല്ലാവരുടെയും ഹൃദയം കവർന്നത്. ബർമിംഗ്ഹാമില്‍ ബംഗ്ലാദേശിനെതിരായ മത്സരത്തില്‍ കാണികൾക്കൊപ്പം ആർപ്പുവിളിച്ചാണ് അവർ ടീം ഇന്ത്യയുടെയും ആരാധകരുടെയും ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ ഇടം നേടിയത്. മത്സരത്തില്‍ ഇന്ത്യ 28 റണ്‍സിന് ജയിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് നായകന്‍ വിരാട് കോലിയും ഉപനായകന്‍ രോഹിത് ശർമ്മയും ചാരുലതയെ കണ്ടുമുട്ടി അനുഗ്രഹം വാങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.

മത്സര ശേഷം ചാരുലതയെ പ്രശംസിച്ച് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ നായകന്‍ വിരാട് കോലി ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. താന്‍ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളതിൽ വെച്ച് ഏറ്റവും ആവേശം നിറഞ്ഞതും സമർപ്പണ മനോഭാവവുമുള്ള ആരാധകരിൽ ഒരാളാണ് ചാരുലതയെന്നായിരുന്നു കോലിയുടെ ട്വീറ്റ്. ലോർഡ്‌സില്‍ നടക്കുന്ന ഫൈനല്‍ മത്സരത്തില്‍ ടീം ഇന്ത്യ കിരീടം നേടുന്നത് നേരില്‍ കാണണമെന്ന ആഗ്രഹവും അവർ പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ സെമി ഫൈനല്‍ മത്സരത്തില്‍ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ മുന്‍പോട്ടുള്ള വാതില്‍ അടഞ്ഞതോടെ അവരുടെ ആഗ്രഹം നിറവേറ്റാനായില്ല. സെമിയില്‍ ന്യൂസിലാന്‍ഡിനോടാണ് കോലിയും കൂട്ടരും പരാജയപ്പെട്ടത്.
