പ്രഥമ അണ്ടര്‍ 19 വനിത ടി20 ലോകകപ്പ് നേടിയ ഷഫാലി വര്‍മ്മയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ടീമിന് അഹമ്മദാബാദിലാണ് ബിസിസിഐ സ്വീകരണമൊരുക്കിയത്.

അഹമ്മദാബാദ്: പ്രഥമ അണ്ടര്‍ 19 വനിത ടി20 ലോകകപ്പ് നേടിയ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ടീമിന് ആദരവുമായി ബിസിസിഐ. ഇന്ത്യ-ന്യൂസിലന്‍ഡ് ടി20 പരമ്പരയിലെ അവസാന മത്സരം നടന്ന അഹമ്മദാബാദിലെ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിലാണ് ചരിത്ര നേട്ടം സ്വന്തമാക്കിയ ഷഫാലി വര്‍മയ്‌ക്കും സംഘത്തിനും ബിസിസിഐ സ്വീകരണമൊരുക്കിയത്. ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയില്‍ നടന്ന അണ്ടര്‍ 19 വനിത ടി20 ലോകകപ്പ് ഫൈനലില്‍ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിനെ തകര്‍ത്തായിരുന്നു ഇന്ത്യയുടെ കൗമാരപ്പട കിരീടം ഉയര്‍ത്തിയത്.

അഹമ്മദാബാദില്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച പരിപാടിയില്‍ ലോകകപ്പ് വിജയികള്‍ക്ക് ബിസിസിഐ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച 5 കോടി രൂപ പാരിതോഷികവും കൈമാറി. ചടങ്ങില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ഇതിഹാസം സച്ചിന്‍ ടെണ്ടുല്‍ക്കര്‍ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ യുവനിരയെ അഭിനന്ദിച്ചിരുന്നു. സച്ചിനൊപ്പം ബിസിസിഐ സെക്രട്ടറി ജയ്‌ ഷാ ഉള്‍പ്പടെയുളള പ്രമുഖരും ചടങ്ങില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തിരുന്നു.

അണ്ടര്‍ 19 വനിത ടി20 ലോകകപ്പ് ഫൈനലില്‍ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിനെ 7 വിക്കറ്റിന് തോല്‍പ്പിച്ചാണ് ഇന്ത്യ കിരീടത്തില്‍ മുത്തമിട്ടത്. കലാശപ്പോരാട്ടത്തില്‍ ടോസ് നഷ്‌ടപ്പെട്ട് ആദ്യം ബാറ്റ് ചെയ്‌ത ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിന് 17.1 ഓവറില്‍ 68 റണ്‍സ് മാത്രമെടുക്കാനായിരുന്നു സാധിച്ചത്. മറുപടി ബാറ്റിങ്ങില്‍ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ കൗമാരപ്പട 14 ഓവറില്‍ 3 വിക്കറ്റ് നഷ്‌ടത്തില്‍ ലക്ഷ്യം കണ്ടു.

69 റണ്‍സ് പിന്തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഇന്ത്യക്ക് ഷഫാലി വര്‍മ (15), ശ്വേത ഷെറാവത്ത് (5), ഗൊംഗാഡി തൃഷ (24) എന്നിവരുടെ വിക്കറ്റുകളാണ് നഷ്‌ടപ്പെട്ടത്. സൗമ്യ തിവാരി 37 പന്തിൽ 24 റൺസുമായി പുറത്താകാതെ നിന്നു. ഹൃഷിത ബസു ഒരു റണ്‍സ് നേടി.

ടോസ് നഷ്‌ടപ്പെട്ട് ആദ്യം ബാറ്റിങ്ങിനിറങ്ങിയ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ട് 17.1 ഓവറില്‍ 68 റണ്‍സ് മാത്രം നേടി എല്ലാവരും പുറത്താകുകയായിരുന്നു. ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിന്‍റെ നാല് താരങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രമായിരുന്നു ഫൈനലില്‍ രണ്ടക്കത്തിലെത്തിയത്. 19 റണ്‍സ് അടിച്ചെടുത്ത റയാന്‍ മക്‌ഡൊണാള്‍ഡായിരുന്നു ടീമിന്‍റെ ടോപ്‌ സ്‌കോറര്‍.

ആദ്യം ബോള്‍ ചെയ്‌ത് ഇന്ത്യക്കായി തിദാസ് സന്ധു, അര്‍ച്ചന ദേവി, പര്‍ഷാവി ചോപ്ര എന്നിവർ രണ്ട് വിക്കറ്റ് നേടി. മന്നത് കശ്യപും, ഷെഫാലി വര്‍മയും സോനം യാദവും ഒരു വിക്കറ്റുമാണ് മത്സരത്തില്‍ സ്വന്തമാക്കിയത്.
