കൊവിഡ് 19 പടരുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ വലിയ കനത്ത സുരക്ഷയിലും ജാഗ്രതയിലുമാണ് രാജ്യം ഓരോ ദിവസവും കടന്നുപോകുന്നത്. ഈ മഹാമാരിയെ മറകടക്കാനായി പ്രമുഖരടക്കം നിരവധിപേരാണ് സഹായഹസ്തവുമായി എത്തുന്നത്. ഇപ്പോള്‍ ബോളിവുഡില്‍ നിന്ന് ധനസഹായം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് എത്തിയിരിക്കുകയാണ് യുവതാരം വരുണ്‍ ധവാന്‍. പ്രതിസന്ധിയെ മറികടക്കാനായി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുടെ ദുരിതാശ്വാസനിധിലേക്ക് 30 ലക്ഷം സഹായധനമാണ് ബോളിവുഡ് താരം വരുണ്‍ ധവാന്‍ നല്‍കുക. മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ദുരിതാശ്വാസനിധിയിലേക്കും താരം സഹായധനം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 25 ലക്ഷം രൂപയാണ് മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ദുരിതാശ്വാസനിധിയിലേക്ക് സഹായധനം നല്‍കിയത്.

എല്ലാ സംഭാവനകളും സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുടെ ട്വീറ്റ്, റീ ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്താണ് വരുണ്‍ സഹായധനം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. ഇതോടെ വരുണ്‍ ധവാനെ പ്രശംസിച്ച് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയും രംഗത്തെത്തി. നല്ല പ്രവര്‍ത്തിയെന്നാണ് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞത്. നടന്‍ അക്ഷയ് കുമാര്‍ 25 കോടിയാണ് സഹായധനം നല്‍കിയത്. ഹൃത്വിക് റോഷനും സഹായധനം നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു.
