കൊളംബോ : ശ്രീലങ്കയിൽ പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് ഗോതബായ രാജപക്‌സെയ്‌ക്കെതിരായി നടക്കുന്ന പ്രതിഷേധങ്ങൾക്കിടെ, ശ്രീലങ്ക-ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ മത്സരം നടക്കുന്ന ഗോൾ ഇന്‍റർനാഷണൽ സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിൽ അതിക്രമിച്ച് കടക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ച് പ്രക്ഷോഭകര്‍. എന്നാൽ സുരക്ഷ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ പ്രതിഷേധക്കാരെ തടഞ്ഞു. ഇത് സംഘര്‍ഷത്തിനും കാരണമായി.

രാജപക്‌സെയെ പുറത്താക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ട് ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് വരുന്ന പ്രതിഷേധക്കാർ സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിലേക്ക് നടന്നടുക്കുന്നതിന്‍റെ ദൃശ്യങ്ങള്‍ പുറത്തുവന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. പ്രതിഷേധക്കാരിൽ ചിലർ സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിന് പുറത്ത് നിലയുറപ്പിച്ചപ്പോൾ, മറ്റ് ചിലർ ഗോൾ ഫോർട്ടിലേക്ക് പോയി. ശ്രീലങ്കൻ പതാക പിടിച്ചും ഹെൽമറ്റ് ധരിച്ചുമാണ് പ്രതിഷേധക്കാൻ സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിലേക്ക് എത്തിയത്. പ്രതിഷേധക്കാരുമായുള്ള ഏറ്റുമുട്ടലിൽ രണ്ട് പൊലീസുകർ ഉൾപ്പടെ 30 പേർക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റു.

നേരത്തെ പ്രസിഡന്‍റിന്‍റെ വസതി കൈയടക്കിയ പ്രതിഷേധക്കാർ അടുക്കളയ്ക്കുള്ളിൽ കടന്ന് ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കുകയും സ്വിമ്മിങ് പൂൾ അടക്കം കൈയ്യേറുകയും ചെയ്‌തിരുന്നു. പ്രതിഷേധ സാധ്യത കണക്കിലെടുത്ത് ഇതിനുമുൻപ് തന്നെ രാജപക്‌സെ വസതിയിൽ നിന്ന് മാറിയിരുന്നു.
അതേസമയം, പൂർണ ഹൃദയത്തോടെ ശ്രീലങ്കയ്‌ക്കൊപ്പം നൽക്കണമെന്ന് ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ ടെസ്റ്റ് ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ പാറ്റ് കമ്മിൻസ് ലോകത്തോട് അഭ്യർഥിച്ചു. പേസ് ബൗളിംഗ് സ്റ്റാൾവാർട്ട് ശ്രീലങ്കയിലെ ജനങ്ങൾ അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കുന്ന പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങൾ വിവരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള വീഡിയോ സമൂഹ മാധ്യമങ്ങളിൽ പങ്കിട്ടു.
