സാംബിയയുടെ ആദ്യ പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് കെന്നത് കൗണ്ടയുടെ മരണത്തില്‍ അനുശോചിച്ച് നരേന്ദ്രമോദി

ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: ആഫ്രിക്കൻ രാജ്യമായ സാംബിയയുടെ ആദ്യ പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് കെന്നത് കൗണ്ടയുടെ മരണത്തില്‍ അനുശോചനം അറിയിച്ച് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്രമോദി. കെന്നത് കൗണ്ട മികച്ച നേതാവാണെന്ന് മോദി പറഞ്ഞു. ട്വിറ്ററിലൂടെയാണ് മോദി അനുശോചനം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയത്.

ന്യുമോണിയ ബാധിതനായ കൗണ്ടയെ തിങ്കളാഴ്ചയാണ് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചത്. സാംബിയയെ സ്വാതന്ത്യ്രത്തിലേക്കു നയിച്ച കെന്നത്ത് കൗണ്ട 27 വർഷം പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് പദത്തിലിരുന്നശേഷം 1991ലാണ് സ്‌ഥാനമൊഴിഞ്ഞത്.
