കര്‍ണാടകയുടെ തലസ്ഥാനമായ ബംഗളൂരുവിലാണ് രാഹുലിന്‍റെ ജനനം. തുളു വംശജയായ ആതിയയുടെ ജനനം മുംബൈയിലായിരുന്നെങ്കിലും പിതാവ് സുനില്‍ ഷെട്ടിയുടെ സ്വദേശം മാംഗ്ലൂര്‍ ആണ്.
