ശ്രീനഗർ: ജമ്മു കശ്മീരില്‍ തീവ്രവാദികളുടെ വെടിവെപ്പില്‍ പൊലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. ഹൈക്കോടതി ജഡ്ജിയുടെ സെക്യൂരിറ്റി ഗാർഡും ശ്രീനഗർ നിവാസിയുമായ ജാവേദ് അഹ്മദ് എന്ന പോലീസുകാരനാണ് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടത്.

ശ്രീനഗറിലെ സൈദാപോറ ഈദ്‌ഗ പ്രദേശത്ത് ജാവേദിന്‍റെ വസതിക്ക് സമീപം വെച്ചായിരുന്നു വെടിവെപ്പ്. വെടിയേറ്റ് നിമിഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ളില്‍ ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തിച്ചെങ്കിലും ജീവന്‍ രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല. ജാവേദിന്‍റെ കഴുത്തിലാണ് വെടിയേറ്റതെന്ന് അധികൃതര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.
