തുംകൂര്‍ (കര്‍ണാടക): കര്‍ണാടകയില്‍ ബസ് മറിഞ്ഞ് എട്ടുപേര്‍ മരിച്ചു. ഇരുപതിലധികം പേര്‍ക്ക് ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റതായാണ് വിവരം. ശനിയാഴ്‌ച തുംകൂര്‍ ജില്ലയിലെ പവഗാഡയിലാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്. വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളും ബസില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതായാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍. 60 ഓളം യാത്രക്കാരുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ബസിന്‍റെ നിയന്ത്രണം നഷ്‌ടപ്പെടുകയായിരുന്നുവെന്ന് പൊലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു.

സംഭവത്തില്‍ ദുഃഖം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നുവെന്ന് ഉപരാഷ്‌ട്രപതി എം വെങ്കയ്യ നായിഡു ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്‌തു. 'കർണാടകയിലെ തുംകൂറിലുണ്ടായ ബസ് അപകടത്തിൽ അതിയായ ദുഃഖമുണ്ട്. മരിച്ചവരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളെ അനുശോചനം അറിയിയ്ക്കുന്നു. പരിക്കേറ്റവർ വേഗം സുഖം പ്രാപിയ്ക്കട്ടെ എന്ന് പ്രാർഥിയ്ക്കുന്നു' - നായിഡു ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ കുറിച്ചു.
