ന്യൂഡൽഹി: തേജസ് യുദ്ധവിമാനങ്ങൾ വാങ്ങാൻ 48000 കോടി രൂപ അനുവദിച്ച് കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ. 83 മാർക്ക്-1 എ തേജസ് വിമാനങ്ങളാണ് ഹിന്ദുസ്ഥാൻ എയറോനോട്ടിക്ക്‌സിൽ നിന്നും ഇന്ത്യ വാങ്ങുക. പ്രധാന മന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയുടെ അധ്യക്ഷതയിൽ ചേർന്ന മന്ത്രി സഭാ സുരക്ഷാ കാര്യ സമിതിയാണ് ഇതു സംബന്ധിച്ച തീരുമാനമെടുത്തത്. തേജസ് വിമാനങ്ങൾ വ്യോമസേനയുടെ നട്ടെല്ലായി മാറുമെന്ന് പ്രതിരോധ മന്ത്രി രാജ്‌നാഥ്‌ സിങ്ങ് ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്‌തു.

The LCA-Tejas is going to be the backbone of the IAF fighter fleet in years to come. LCA-Tejas incorporates a large number of new technologies many of which were never attempted in India. The indigenous content of LCA-Tejas is 50% in Mk1A variant which will be enhanced to 60%.
