ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: കോൺഗ്രസ് ഇടക്കാല പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് സോണിയ ഗാന്ധി ഡി.കെ.ശിവകുമാറിനെ കാണാൻ തീഹാര്‍ ജയിലിലെത്തി. കർണാടക ചുമതലയുള്ള ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറി കെ.സി.വേണുഗോപാലും സോണിയ ഗാന്ധിക്കൊപ്പമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. സാമ്പത്തിക ക്രമക്കേട് ആരോപിച്ചാണ് സെപ്റ്റംബർ മൂന്നിന് കർണാടക മുൻ മന്ത്രി ഡി.കെ.ശിവകുമാറിനെ എൻഫോഴ്സ്മെന്റ് ഡയറക്ട്രേറ്റ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്‌തത്. ഇയാളുടെ ജാമ്യാപേക്ഷ കോടതി പരിഗണിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. കേസില്‍ എൻഫോഴ്സ്മെന്റ് ഡയറക്ട്രേറ്റിന്‍റെ അന്വേഷണം പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്. കഴിഞ്ഞ മാസം മുൻ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി മൻമോഹൻ സിങ്ങിനൊപ്പം സോണിയ ഗാന്ധി മുൻ ധനമന്ത്രി പി.ചിദംബരത്തെ കാണാൻ ജയിലിലെത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഇന്നലെയാണ് ഐ‌എൻ‌എക്‌സ് മീഡിയ കേസിൽ ചിദംബരത്തിന് സുപ്രീം കോടതി ജാമ്യം അനുവദിച്ചത്.
