ന്യൂഡൽഹി: കൊവിഡ് പ്രതിസന്ധിയേയും പ്രതിരോധ മാർഗങ്ങളേയും കുറിച്ച് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയും ബിൽഗേറ്റ്സും ചർച്ച നടത്തി. വ്യാഴാഴ്ച വീഡിയോ കോൺഫറൻസിലൂടെയായിരുന്നു ചർച്ച. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ കൊവിഡ് പ്രതിരോധം ഫലപ്രദമാണെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

'ബിൽഗേറ്റ്‌സുമായി വിപുലമായ ആശയവിനിമയം നടത്തി. കൊവിഡ് 19 നെതിരെയുള്ള ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പോരാട്ടങ്ങൾ, കൊവിഡിനെതിരെയുള്ള ബിൽ ആൻഡ് മെലിൻഡ ഗേറ്റ്സ് ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ, സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യയുടെ പങ്ക്, വാക്സിന്റെ നിർമാണം തുടങ്ങിയ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ചർച്ച ചെയ്തു'. പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ട്വിറ്ററിൽ കുറിച്ചു.

സാമൂഹിക അകലത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് വ്യക്തമായ സന്ദേശം ജനങ്ങളിലെത്തി. മാസ്കിന്റെ ആവശ്യകത, വ്യക്തി ശുചിത്വം എന്നിവയും ജനങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റെടുത്തു. സ്വച്ഛ്ഭാരത് മിഷനും ആയുർവേദം പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള നടപടികളും രോഗപ്രതിരോധ നടപടികൾക്ക് മുതൽക്കൂട്ടായെന്നും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ബിൽഗേറ്റ്സുമായുള്ള ചർച്ചക്കിടെ പറഞ്ഞു.

ഇന്ത്യ അടക്കം ലോകത്തിന്റെ പല ഭാഗത്തും ഗേറ്റ്സ് ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ നടത്തി വരുന്ന ആരോഗ്യ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളെ മോദി അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു. ലോകത്തിന്‍റെ പൊതു നേട്ടത്തിനായി ഇന്ത്യയുടെ കഴിവ് എങ്ങനെ പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്താമെന്ന് ബിൽഗേറ്റ്സിൽ നിന്നും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നിർദേശം തേടി.
