ഐഐആര്‍എസ് പേലോഡ് എടുത്ത ചന്ദ്ര ഉപരിതലത്തിന്‍റെ ആദ്യ ചിത്രം പുറത്ത്

ചന്ദ്ര ഉപരിതലത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രതിഫലിക്കുന്ന സൂര്യപ്രകാശം അളക്കുന്നതിനാണ് ഐഐആര്‍എസ് രൂപകൽപ്പന ചെയ്തത്.

ബംഗളൂരു : ചന്ദ്രയാന്‍-2 ന്‍റെ ഐഐആര്‍എസ് പേലോഡ് എടുത്ത ചന്ദ്ര ഉപരിതലത്തിന്‍റെ ആദ്യ ചിത്രം ഐഎസ്ആര്‍ഒ വ്യാഴാഴ്‌ച പുറത്തുവിട്ടു. ചന്ദ്ര ഉപരിതലത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രതിഫലിക്കുന്ന സൂര്യപ്രകാശം അളക്കുന്നതിനാണ് ഐഐആര്‍എസ് രൂപകൽപ്പന ചെയ്തത്. ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രപരമായ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ ചന്ദ്രൻ്റെ ഉത്‌ഭവവും പരിണാമവും മനസ്സിലാക്കുക എന്നതാണ് ഐ‌ഐആർ‌എസിന്‍റെ പ്രധാന ലക്ഷ്യം. വടക്കൻ അർധഗോളത്തിലെ ഗര്‍ത്തങ്ങളായ സ്റ്റെബിൻസ്, കിർക്ക്‌വുഡ് എന്നിവ ചിത്രത്തില്‍ കാണാന്‍ കഴിയും. ചന്ദ്രന്‍ സോളാർ സ്പെക്ട്രത്തില്‍ പ്രതിഫലിച്ചതിനെ പഠിച്ചാണ് ചന്ദ്ര ഉപരിതല ധാതുവും അസ്ഥിര ഘടനയും മാപ്പുചെയ്യുന്നത്' എന്നും ബഹിരാകാശ ഏജൻസിയുടെ ഔദ്യോഗിക ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ പറയുന്നു.
