എന്‍ജിന് തീപിടിച്ച ഇന്‍ഡിഗോ വിമാനം അടിയന്തരമായി നിലത്തിറക്കി

പൈലറ്റിന്‍റെ സമയോചിതമായ ഇടപെടല്‍ കൊണ്ട് വൻ അപകടം ഒഴിവായി.

പനജി: പറക്കുന്നതിനിടെ എന്‍ജിന് തീപിടിച്ചതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഇന്‍ഡിഗോ വിമാനം അടിയന്തരമായി നിലത്തിറക്കി. ഗോവയില്‍ നിന്ന് ഡല്‍ഹിയിലേക്കുപോയ ഇന്‍ഡിഗോ വിമാനമാണ് എൻജിന് തീപിടിച്ചതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് നിലത്തിറക്കിയത്. പൈലറ്റിന്‍റെ സമയോചിത ഇടപെടല്‍ കൊണ്ട് വൻ അപകടം ഒഴിവായി. ഗോവ മന്ത്രി നീലേഷ് കാബ്രാളടക്കം 180 യാത്രക്കാര്‍ വിമാനത്തിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

ഞായറാഴ്ച രാത്രിയായിരുന്നു സംഭവം. വിമാനത്തിന്‍റെ ഇടത്തെ എന്‍ജിനാണ് തീപിടിച്ചത്. എന്‍ജിന് തീ പിടിച്ച സംഭവം യാത്രക്കാരാണ് കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഇടത്തെ എന്‍ജിന്‍റെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം നിര്‍ത്തി ഒരു എന്‍ജിൻ മാത്രം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് പൈലറ്റ് വിമാനം നിലത്തിറക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. പൈലറ്റിനെ മന്ത്രി നീലേഷ് കാബ്രാള്‍ അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു.

എന്നാല്‍ വിമാനത്തിന്‍റെ എന്‍ജിന് തീപിടിച്ച സംഭവം അവ്യക്തമാണെന്നും അന്വേഷണം നടത്തുകയാണെന്നും ഇന്‍ഡിഗോ എയര്‍വേസ് അറിയിച്ചു. വിമാനയാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്കുണ്ടായ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടില്‍ ഇന്‍ഡിഗോ ഖേദം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു
