ಇಸ್ಲಾಮಾಬಾದ್: ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದ ಈಗಿನ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗತಿ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ದೇಶದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ ಅರಿತ ಸೇನೆ ಸ್ವಯಂಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಭದ್ರತಾವೆಚ್ಚವನ್ನು ಕಡಿತಗೊಳಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆ.
ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದ ಇಂಟರ್ ಸರ್ವೀಸ್ ಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್ ರಿಲೇಷನ್ಸ್ನ ಡೈರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಜನರಲ್, ಮೇಜರ್ ಜನರಲ್ ಆಸಿಫ್ ಘಫೂರ್ ಟ್ವಿಟ್ಟರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಕ್ ಸೇನೆ ಭದ್ರತಾ ವೆಚ್ಚವನ್ನು ಕಡಿತಗೊಳಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಭದ್ರತಾ ಬಜೆಟ್‌ನ್ನು ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷ ಕಡಿತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆತಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇನೆ ಸಮರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನಿಭಾಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಸೂಕ್ತ ಆಂತರಿಕ ಮಾನದಂಡ ಆಧರಿಸಿಯೇ ಬಜೆಟ್‌ ಕಡಿತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಘಫೂರ್ ಬರೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪಾಕ್ ಸೇನೆಯ ಸ್ವಯಂಪ್ರೇರಿತ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಇಮ್ರಾನ್ ಖಾನ್ ಮುಕ್ತಕಂಠದಿಂದ ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಲವು ಭದ್ರತಾ ಸವಾಲುಗಳ ನಡುವೆಯೂ ಮಿಲಿಟರಿ ಈ ನಡೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚುವಂಥದ್ದು ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
2018ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಕ್, ಮಿಲಿಟರಿಗಾಗಿ 11.4 ಮಿಲಿಯನ್ ಅಮೆರಿಕನ್‌ ಡಾಲರ್ ವ್ಯಯ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಭದ್ರತೆಗೆ ಅತೀ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹಣ ವ್ಯಯಿಸುವ ವಿಶ್ವದ 20ನೇ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿತ್ತು.
