नई दिल्ली : मयंक अग्रवाल की अगुवाई में शेष भारत ने ईरानी कप जीत लिया है. शेष भारत ने पिछले सत्र की रणजी ट्रॉफी चैंपियन मध्य प्रदेश को सत्र के अंतिम दिन 238 रनों से हराया. ग्वालियर के कप्तान रूप सिंह स्टेडियम में खेले गए मुकाबले में शेष भारत के गेंदबाजों ने मेजबान मध्य प्रदेश को मैच के पांचवें और आखिरी दिन दूसरी पारी में 198 रनों पर ढेर कर दिया. मध्य प्रदेश की टीम को जीत के लिए 437 रनों के लक्ष्य मिला था.

शेष भारत को कप जीताने में यशस्वी जायसवाल का अहम योगदान रहा. जायसवाल ने पहली पारी में शानदार 213 रन और दूसरी पारी में 144 रन बनाए. यशस्वी ईरानी ट्रॉफी के 62 साल के इतिहास में मैच की पहली पारी में दोहरा शतक और दूसरी बारी में शतक लगाने वाले पहले बल्लेबाज बन गए. शेष भारत के गेंदबाजों ने शानदार गेंदबाजी की. सौरभ कुमार ने तीन, मुकेश कुमार, अतित सेठ और पुलकित नारंग ने दो-दो विकेट लिए.

रेस्ट ऑफ इंडिया ( आरओआई ) ने फाइनल मुकाबले में टॉस जीतकर पहले बल्लेबाजी करने का फैसला किया था. पहली पारी में आरओआई ने 484 रन बनाए थे. जिसके जवाब में मध्य प्रदेश की टीम 294 रन पर सिमट गई थी. शेष भारत ने दूसरी पारी में 246 रन ठोके थे. मध्य प्रदेश को जीतने के लिए 437 रन बनाने थे जिनके जवाब में मध्य प्रदेश की टीम 58.4 ओवर में 198 रन ही बना सकी. दूसरी पारी में मध्य प्रदेश के कप्तान हिमांशु मंत्री ने 51 रन बनाए. वहीं, यश दुबे ने पहली पारी में 109 रन बनाए थे.
