Lasith Malinga की मुंबई इंडियन्स टीम में होगी वापसी, IPL 2024 से पहले मिली ये अहम जानकारी

5 बार की आईपीएल चैंपियन मुंबई इंडियंस टीम ने श्रीलंका के पूर्व तेज गेंदबाज लसिथ मलिंगा को आईपीएल 2024 के लिए तेज गेंदबाजी कोच नियुक्त किया है. मलिंगा शेन बॉन्ड की जगह लेंगे.

मुंबई : श्रीलंका के पूर्व तेज गेंदबाज लसिथ मलिंगा आईपीएल (इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग) 2024 के लिए पांच बार की चैंपियन मुंबई इंडियंस में वापसी करने के लिए तैयार हैं. एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार वह शेन बॉन्ड की जगह टीम के तेज गेंदबाजी कोच होंगे. न्यूजीलैंड के पूर्व तेज गेंदबाज पिछले नौ सत्र से टीम के मुख्य कोच है. आईपीएल के एक सूत्र ने हालांकि 'पीटीआई-भाषा' से पुष्टि की कि बॉन्ड का मुंबई के साथ अनुबंध अब भी समीक्षा के अधीन है.

मलिंगा का मुंबई इंडियन्स के साथ करियर काफी सफल रहा. उनके रहते टीम ने पांच खिताब जीते. इसमें चार आईपीएल (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019) खिताब के अलावा 2011 में चैंपियंस लीग टी20 जीतना शामिल है. मलिंगा ने मुंबई के लिए 139 मैच खेले और 7.12 की इकॉनमी रेट से 195 विकेट लिए. इनमें से 170 विकेट आईपीएल में आए. वह इस लीग में संयुक्त रूप से छठा सबसे अधिक विकेट लेने वाले गेंदबाज है.

मलिंगा ने इससे पहले 2018 में टीम में मेटोरिंग की भूमिका निभाई थी. इसके एक साल बाद उन्होंने खेल में वापसी करते हुए जसप्रीत बुमराह के साथ टीम के की गेंदबाजी आक्रमण की अगुवाई की और टीम को चैम्पियन बनाने में अहम भूमिका निभाई. उन्होंने 2021 में संन्यास के बाद 2022 में राजस्थान रॉयल्स के तेज गेंदबाजी कोच की भूमिका निभाई थी.
