मुंबई : दिग्गज फिल्म निर्माता जॉनी बख्शी का शनिवार को जुहू के एक अस्पताल में निधन हो गया. उनकी उम्र 82 साल थी.
उनके निधन की खबर के बाद फिल्मी दुनिया में शोक की लहर है. इस फिल्ममेकर ने बॉलीवुड के तमाम बड़े कलाकारों के साथ काम किया था.
निर्माता अमित खन्ना ने अपने ऑफिशियल ट्विटर अकाउंट पर यह खबर साझा की. उन्होंने लिखा, "5 दशकों के एक दोस्त फिल्म निर्माता जॉनी बख्शी का आज सुबह निधन हो गया. उनकी आत्मा को शांति मिले."

जॉनी बख्शी ने 'मंजिलें और भी हैं', 'मेरा दोस्त मेरा दुश्मन', 'फिर तेरी कहानी याद आई', 'विश्वासघात', 'रावन' और 'इस रात की सुबह नहीं' सहित कई फिल्मों में निर्माता के तौर पर काम किया था. जॉनी बख्शी ने आखिरी बार फिल्म 'कजरारे' (2010) में काम किया था. इस फिल्म में हिमेश रेशमिया थे.
जॉनी बख्शी न सिर्फ एक बेहतरीन निर्देशक थे बल्कि एक निर्माता भी थे. राजेश खन्ना और गुलशन ग्रोवर स्टारर फिल्म 'खुदाई' के निर्माता भी जॉनी बख्शी ही थे.
जॉनी बख्शी को सिनेमा से काफी प्यार था, यही वजह थी कि उन्होंने हॉलीवुड स्टार मार्लोन ब्रैंडो से प्रेरित होकर अपने बेटे का नाम ब्रैंडो रखा था. जॉनी बख्शी ने कई सालों तक राज खोसला के सहायक के रूप में काम किया. जॉनी बख्शी इंडियन मोशन पिक्चर्स प्रोड्यूसर्स एसोसिएशन (आईएमपीपीए) का भी हिस्सा थे. वह इस एसोसिएशन के सक्रिय सदस्यों में से एक थे.

उनके निधन पर शोक जताते हुए अनुपम खेर ने शनिवार को ट्वीट करते हुए लिखा, "प्रिय जॉनी बख्शी के निधन के बारे में जानकर बहुत दुख हुआ. वह मुंबई में मेरे प्रारंभिक जीवन का अभिन्न हिस्सा थे. एक निर्माता, मित्र, एक समर्थक और एक प्रेरक के रूप में उन्होंने हर तरफ खुशियां बिखेरीं. अलविदा दोस्त. ओम शांति."
