अमिताभ बच्चन ने मां के पल्लू को याद करते हुए ट्वीट किया और लिखा, 'बाईं आंख फड़कने लगी. सुना था बचपन में अशुभ होता है. डॉक्टर को दिखाने गए तो ये आंख के अंदर एक काला धब्बा निकला. डॉक्टर बोला 'कुछ नहीं है, ज्यादा उम्र की वजह से जो सफेद हिस्सा आंख का होता है, वह घिस गया है. जैसे बचपन में मां अपने पल्लू को गोल बनाकर, फूंक मारकर, गर्म करके आंख में लगा देती थीं, उसी तरह कीजिए, ठीक हो जाएगा... मां तो है नहीं अब, बिजली से रूमाल को गरम करके लगा लिया है. पर बात कुछ बनी नहीं. मां का पल्लू, मां का पल्लू होता है.'
