मेलबर्न: पूर्व कप्तान रिकी पोंटिंग का मानना है, ऑस्ट्रेलिया की टीम इस साल यूएई और ओमान में होने वाले टी-20 विश्व कप को जीतने में सक्षम है. अनकैप्ड विकेटकीपर बल्लेबाज जोश इंग्लिस को सीनियर खिलाड़ी मैथ्यू वेड के बैकअप के तौर पर 15 सदस्यीय टीम में चुना गया है. पोंटिंग इस बात से खुश हैं कि टी-20 विश्व कप के लिए इंग्लिस को ऑस्ट्रेलियाई टीम में जगह दी गई है.
पोंटिंग ने ट्वीट कर कहा, इंग्लिस को अवसर मिलते देखना सुखद है. वह मजे के लिए स्कोर करते हैं और अगर उन्हें लिया गया है तो यह बेहतरीन है. ओवरऑल यह अच्छी टीम है और मेरे ख्याल से टी-20 विश्व कप जीतने में सक्षम है.

टी-20 विश्व कप के लिए कप्तान आरोन फिंच, स्टीवन स्मिथ, डेविड वार्नर, पैट कमिंस और ग्लेन मैक्सवेल की टीम में वापसी हुई है. मैक्सवेल एडम जम्पा, एश्टन एगर और मिशेल स्वीपसन के साथ टीम के स्पिन गेंदबाजी का भी विकल्प होंगे.
