"স্বাধীনতা এবং নিরাপত্তার অভাব পাকিস্তানে থাকার ক্ষেত্রে সবচেয়ে হতাশাজনক বিষয় ।" এই মন্তব্য করলেন পাকিস্তানের প্রাক্তন ব্যাটিং কোচ তথা জ়িম্বাবোয়ের প্রাক্তন অলরাউন্ডার গ্রান্ট ফ্লাওয়ার । ফ্লাওয়ার গত 5 বছর কাটিয়েছেন পাকিস্তানে ।

দিল্লি, 17 অগাস্ট : "স্বাধীনতা এবং নিরাপত্তার অভাব পাকিস্তানে থাকার ক্ষেত্রে সবচেয়ে হতাশাজনক বিষয় ।" এই বক্তব্য ভারতের কোনও মন্ত্রী, নেতা বা সরকারি আধিকারিকের নয় । এই মন্তব্য একজন ক্রিকেটারের । যিনি পাকিস্তানে গত 5 বছর কাটিয়েছেন । হ্যাঁ । এই মন্তব্য করেছেন পাকিস্তানের প্রাক্তন ব্যাটিং কোচ তথা জ়িম্বাবোয়ের প্রাক্তন অলরাউন্ডার গ্রান্ট ফ্লাওয়ার ।
বিশ্বকাপে হতাশাজনক ফল করার পর গ্রান্ট ফ্লাওয়ারের সঙ্গে চুক্তি পুনর্নবীকরণ করেনি পাকিস্তান ক্রিকেট বোর্ড । এরপর এই প্রথমবার পাকিস্তানের প্রাক্তন ব্যাটিং কোচ সে দেশে বসবাস এবং পাকিস্তান ক্রিকেট দলের সঙ্গে প্রায় পাঁচ বছর কাটানোর অভিজ্ঞতা জানিয়েছেন ।
ESPNcricinfo-কে দেওয়া সাক্ষাৎকারে পাকিস্তান দলের সঙ্গে তাঁর অভিজ্ঞতা সম্পর্কে বলতে গিয়ে বলেন, "সুরক্ষা এবং স্বাধীনতার অভাব পাকিস্তানে বসবাস করার ক্ষেত্রে সবচেয়ে হতাশাজনক বিষয় ।" 2009 সালে শ্রীলঙ্কা ক্রিকেট দলের বাসে জঙ্গি হামলার পর থেকে খুব কম আন্তর্জাতিক দলই পাকিস্তান সফর করেছে । তার পর থেকে PCB পাকিস্তানের আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেটকে চাঙ্গা করার জন্য সর্বাত্মক চেষ্টা করে চলেছে । 2017 সালে ওভালে ভারতকে হারিয়ে পাকিস্তানের চ্যাম্পিয়ন্স ট্রফি জয় তাঁর সবচেয়ে বড় কৃতিত্ব বলে জানিয়েছেন জ়িম্বাবোয়ের এই প্রাক্তন অলরাউন্ডার । পাকিস্তানের প্রাক্তন খেলোয়াড়দের "পিছনে ছুরি মারা", সাংবাদিক ও PCB-র আধিকারিদের "রাজনীতি" নিয়েও সাক্ষাৎকারে জানান ফ্লাওয়ার । 2014 সালে পাকিস্তানের ব্যাটিং কোচ নিযুক্ত হন ফ্লাওয়ার । বিশ্বকাপে পাকিস্তান সেমিফাইনালে উঠতে ব্যর্থ হয় । এরপরই PCB সিদ্ধান্ত দলের সাপোর্ট স্টাফদের চুক্তি বাতিল করে ।

"It aims at creating emotions, it aims at creating positive emotions. When you watch this installation, what do you see first? You see balls hanging. And for me they are the Atomium sphere, the most visited place in Brussels and it has nine spheres, that is the first thing."

"Then I chose a variety of flowers and of colors. It is the same as Brussels, with a mix of population, also it has luxury and design architecture, but also more simple architecture. That is why I chose to do this piece."

"(The) concept that was given from the organization was the connection between flowers and emotion. So, we combined several ideas together, but the main concept comes from Chinese culture and also Chinese land. So, in China, we have five different colors of soils in different areas of the country. So, some area has red, some area has yellow, white, green and black. So, the colours of the five soils have different content of element and also chemical elements too, but colour has different meaning, so we want to combine the five colours together to have this surface as you can see the textures, a mix of that. The shape of it, the inspiration is an old historic Chinese music instrument, called Konghou, similar to harp, so it was back from Tang and Sui dynasty and also the shape of the whole structure is like a dragon, and also organic shape of jade, but has many layers. So, it's quite a sculpture look. And also, we want to combine Chinese traditional culture with western style floristry. So, it's a good mix, so we want to try to send a message to the audience in Europe."

LEADIN:
Brussels' Grand Place is blooming as part of an international floral art festival in the Belgian capital.
Over 30 international florists are showcasing creations around the theme of "A World of Floral Emotions".
STORYLINE:
Brussels in bloom. Even the city's famous Manneken Pis sculpture is decked out in flowers.
Florists from around the world are arriving in Brussels to showcase their designs at the city's Flowertime festival.
It's held at the Grand Place every two years.
Early on opening day, florists are still decorating a flower arch which leads to city hall's entrance.
Inside city hall, there are various flowers designs.
Belgian designer Natalia Sakalova's creation is covered with flowers of all shapes and colours. It's also covered in spheres, a reference to The Atonium, a Brussels landmark.
"When you watch this installation, what do you see first? You see balls hanging. And for me they are the Atomium sphere, the most visited place in Brussels and it has nine spheres," she says.
"Then I chose a variety of flowers and of colors. It is the same as Brussels, with a mix of population, also it has luxury and design architecture, but also more simple architecture."
Beijing's Cohim flower school is represented on another stand.
Florist Judy Zhang explains the design was inspired by an old Chinese musical instrument, called a Konghou.
"The shape of it, the inspiration is an old historic Chinese music instrument, called Konghou, similar to harp, so it was back from Tang and Sui dynasty and also the shape of the whole structure is like a dragon, and also organic shape of jade, but has many layers," she says.
Brussels' Flowertime festival will run 14-18 August at city hall.
The event, staged once every two years, is working around the theme "A World of Floral Emotions".
Over 30 international florists are taking part. More than 100,000 flowers are on display.
