کیرالہ کے سابق وزیر اعلیٰ اور کانگریس کے سینئر لیڈر اومن چانڈی کا انتقال ہو گیا ہے۔ اومن چانڈی کے بیٹے نے اپنے والد کے انتقال کی تصدیق کی ہے۔ اومن چانڈی نے طویل علالت کے بعد آج آخری سانس لی۔ Oommen Chandy passes away

ترواننت پورم: کانگریس کے سینئر رہنما اور کیرالہ کے سابق وزیر اعلی اومن چانڈی کا انتقال ہوگیا ہے۔ ان کی عمر 79 برس تھی۔ ان کا چنمایا مشن اسپتال بنگلورو میں علاج چل رہا تھا۔ وہیں کیرالہ کانگریس کے صدر کے سُدھاکرن نے ٹویٹ کرکے اومن چانڈی کے انتقال پر غم کا اظہار کیا۔ انہوں نے ٹویٹ کیا کہ کیرالہ کے سابق وزیر اعلیٰ اور کانگریس کے سینئر لیڈر اومن چانڈی کا انتقال ہو گیا۔ آج مجھے ایک عظیم انسان کے انتقال سے بہت دکھ ہوا ہے۔ انہوں نے لاتعداد افراد کی زندگیوں کو متاثر کیا اور ان کی وراثت ہمیشہ ہماری روحوں میں گونجتی رہے گی۔ بتا دیں کہ اومن چانڈی کی صحت سال 2019 سے ٹھیک نہیں چل رہی تھی۔ چانڈی کو گلے سے متعلق بیماری بڑھنے کے بعد جرمنی لے جایا گیا تھا۔ بتا دیں کہ وہ دو بار کیرالہ کے وزیر اعلیٰ بھی رہ چکے ہیں۔ سنہ 1970 سے ریاستی اسمبلی میں پوتھوپلی حلقے کی نمائندگی کی ہے۔

وہیں کیرالہ کے وزیر اعلی پنارائی وجین نے سابق وزیر اعلی اومن چانڈی کے انتقال پر گہرے دکھ کا اظہار کیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم ایک ہی سال میں قانون ساز اسمبلی کے لیے منتخب ہوئے تھے۔ اس دور میں ہم طالب علمی کے ذریعے سیاسی میدان میں آئے۔ ہم نے ایک ہی وقت میں عوامی زندگی گزاری اور انہیں وداع کرنا بہت مشکل ہے۔ کیرالہ حکومت نے سابق وزیر اعلیٰ اومن چانڈی کے انتقال پر دو روزہ سرکاری سوگ کا اعلان کیا ہے۔ وہیں وزیر اعظم نریندر مودی نے کیرالہ کے سابق وزیر اعلیٰ اومن چانڈی کے انتقال پر دکھ کا اظہار کیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ان کے جانے سے ملک ایک عاجز اور عوامی خدمت کے جذبے سے سرشار رہنما سے محروم ہو گیا ہے۔

آپ کو بتا دیں کہ کانگریس کے سینئر لیڈر اومن چانڈی 2004-06 اور 2011-16 تک دو بار کیرالہ کے وزیر اعلیٰ رہ چکے ہیں۔ اومن چانڈی نے 27 سال کی عمر میں 1970 میں ریاستی اسمبلی کے انتخابات میں کامیابی حاصل کی اور ایم ایل اے کے طور پر اپنا سیاسی سفر شروع کیا۔ اس کے بعد انہوں نے مسلسل 11 انتخابات جیتے۔ اومن چانڈی نے گزشتہ پانچ دہائیوں میں صرف اپنے آبائی حلقے پوتھوپلی کی نمائندگی کی ہے۔ اومن چانڈی اپنے سیاسی کیریئر کے دوران چار بار مختلف کابینہ میں وزیر اور چار بار ریاستی اسمبلی میں اپوزیشن لیڈر کے طور پر کام کر چکے ہیں۔
