پرمود بھگت نے 45 منٹ تک جاری رہنے والے میچ میں ڈینیل کو 14-21، 17-21 سے شکست دی۔ دنیا کے نمبر ایک کھلاڑی پرمود بھگت فائنل میں پہنچنے والے پہلے کھلاڑی بھی بنے تھے۔
پرمود کمار کا مقابلہ برطانیہ کے ڈینیل بریتھیل سے ہوا۔ پہلے گیم میں دونوں کے درمیان اچھا مقابلہ دیکھنے کو ملا۔ پہلے گیم میں ڈینیل نے شروع میں برتری حاصل کرنے کی کوشش کی لیکن پرمود نے اچھی واپسی کرتے ہوئے پہلا گیم 21-14 سے جیت لیا۔

یہ کھیل 21 منٹ تک جاری رہا۔ اگلے گیم میں پرمود ڈینیل بریتھیل سے 12-4 سے پیچھے چل رہے لیکن انہوں نے زبردست واپسی کی اور دوسرا گیم 17-21 سے جیت لیا۔
