"You will be aware that when we learned of the accident, we took a decision to ground our ground crews, crews of the aircraft, in New South Wales and Victoria state. This was so our team members could take time to understand this loss. RFS (Rural Fire Service) has supported us by dispatching their critical incident teams. Any death is confronting. But we have met with the teams here in Sydney and they are back up in the air. They want to do the job they're here for, supporting these beautiful communities in Australia. We continue to work with the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) and the New South Wales Police to understand the cause of this crash."

Coulson: "No ma'am, we have, the ATSB has not released anything."

"So the ATSB is taking all of the evidence, whether that is devices from the aircraft, whether it is witness statements, whether it is whatever other information they collect together. So we're providing data, Coulson are providing maintenance data, there's a plethora of information that the ATSB are pulling together which is supplied from Coulson, RFS, eyewitnesses and all those sorts of things coming together. They are the authoritative body that have got the lead in the investigation and then they will seek additional information from anybody they deem appropriate to furnish information into their investigation, and as they've indicated only in recent days, they plan to have a preliminary report released within 30 days."

STORYLINE:
The Canada-based owner of a fire-fighting plane that crashed while fighting wildfires in Australia last week, killing three American crew, said Monday the incident was "devastating."
Coulson Aviation chief executive Wayne Coulson described walking the fire-scorched crash site on Sunday where wreckage of the Lockheed C-130 Hercules is strewn in the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales state.
He told reporters in Sydney on Monday that there's still no explanation for the tragedy.
He said the company's focus now is on providing support to the victims' families.
Ian McBeth of Great Falls, Montana, Paul Clyde Hudson of Buckeye, Arizona, and Rick A. DeMorgan of Navarre, Florida, died when their C-130 Hercules tanker crashed on Thursday after dumping fire retardant on a blaze northeast of the town of Cooma in southern New South Wales.
Coulson Aviation grounded its aircraft in New South Wales and neighboring Victoria after the crash.
Coulson said the crews had since returned to the skies, despite the lack of any explanation for the tragedy.
Australian crash investigators on Saturday retrieved the cockpit flight recorder that should have recorded the final conversations between the three crew members.
The recorder, which could also contain any alarms that sounded in the cockpit, was taken to Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) headquarters in Canberra for analysis.
Coulson said the ATSB had yet to share the recorder’s contents.
New South Wales state Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons said the ATSB was leading the investigation and was expected to release a preliminary report within 30 days.
