STORYLINE:
The aid effort to help survivors of Cyclone Idai in southern Africa has entered its second week.
Authorities are trying to locate and support tens of thousands of people after the cyclone devastated parts of Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi.
Members of the Indian and South African militaries are joining aid groups in flying over stretches of central Mozambique as they look for signs of life and people in need.
More than 600 people are known to have died as a result of the cyclone, but aid agencies say the death toll is certain to rise as flood waters recede.
British broadcaster Sky News joined an aid flight chartered by the World Food Programme to a remote community called Nhamatanda.
For people living there, it was their first aid delivery since the disaster struck a week ago.
"We are in a really bad situation", said one of the residents.
"We don't have anything to cover us, and everything is in water, including our food."
Another resident, Manucho Jacob, said he hadn't had a proper meal since last week.
Tome Jose, the administrator for the wider Nhamatanda district, said more help was urgently needed.
"There are people in other areas that we still can't reach", he said.
