தெற்காசிய நாடுகளுக்கு இடையிலான 13ஆவது விளையாட்டுத் தொடர் தற்போது நேபாளம் தலைநகர் காத்மாண்டு, போக்ரா ஆகிய நகரங்களில் கோலாகலமாக நடைபெற்றுவருகிறது. இந்தத் தொடரில் இந்தியா, இலங்கை, நேபாளம், பாகிஸ்தான், வங்கதேசம், பூடான், மாலத்தீவு என எட்டு நாடுகள் பங்கேற்றுள்ளன.
இந்நிலையில் 13ஆவது தெற்காசிய விளையாட்டு போட்டியின் கடைசி நாளான இன்று, இந்திய அணி குத்துச்சண்டை பிரிவில் ஆறு தங்கப் பதக்கங்களுடன், மொத்தம் 14 தங்கம், இரண்டு வெள்ளி, இரண்டு வெண்கலப் பதக்கம் என மொத்தம் 18 பதக்கங்களைப் பெற்று அசத்தியது.
இதன்மூலம் 13ஆவது தெற்காசிய விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகளில் இந்திய அணி 312 பதக்கங்களைப் பெற்று, இத்தொடரின் ஒரு சீசனில் அதிக பதக்கங்கள் வென்ற முதல் அணி என்ற சாதனையைப் படைத்துள்ளது.

இதற்கு முன்னதாக தெற்காசிய போட்டிகளில் இந்திய அணி ஒரு சீசனில் 308 பதக்கங்களை பெற்றதே சாதனையாக இருந்தது. அச்சாதனையை தற்போது 312 பதக்கங்களைப் பெற்று இந்திய அணியே முறியடித்துள்ளது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
