ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ 'ਚ 5,188 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਵਾਧਾ

ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਜਾਵਡੇਕਰ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲਾਤ ਮਹਿਕਮੇ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਲ 2017 ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੁਲ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ 5,188 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ: ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਜਾਵਡੇਕਰ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲਾਤ ਮਹਿਕਮੇ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਲ 2017 ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਲ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ 5,188 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ 3,976 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ 1,212 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਜਾਵਡੇਕਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ 2 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਨਾਟਕ, ਕੇਰਲ, ਆਂਧਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼, ਜੰਮੂ ਅਤੇ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਰਨਾਟਕ ਵਿੱਚ (1,025 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ) ਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਂਧਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ (990 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ) ਅਤੇ ਕੇਰਲ (823 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ) ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਆਈਐਸਐਫਆਰ 2019 ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂਗਰੋਵ ਦੀ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਰਿਪਰੋਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ ਮੈਂਗਰੋਵ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ 4,975 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਹਨ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਲ 2017 ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ 54 ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਚੋਟੀ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਰਾਜ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ (37sq ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ) ਤੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ (16sq ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ) ਅਤੇ ਓਡੀਸ਼ਾ (8sq ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ) ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਂਸ ਉਤਪਾਦਨ ਦਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਨ 16.00 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਹੈਕਟੇਅਰ ਹੈ। ਬਾਂਸ ਦਾ ਕੁੱਲ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਨ ਭਾਰ 278 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਟਨ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਆਈਐਸਐਫਆਰ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ 2017 ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ 88 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਟਨ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
