ਹਵਾਈ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਮੁੱਖੀ ਧਨੌਆ ਨੇ ਇਕੱਲਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਉਡਾਇਆ ਮਿਗ-21

ਬੀਐੱਸ ਧਨੋਆ ਕੋਇੰਮਬਟੂਰ ਦੇ ਏਅਰ ਫ਼ੋਰਸ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ 'ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮਿਗ-21 ਨੂੰ ਉਡਾਇਆ।

ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ : ਹਵਾਈ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਮੁੱਖੀ ਬੀਐੱਸ ਧਨੌਆ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਇੰਮਬਟੂਰ ਸਥਿਤ ਸੁਲੂਰ ਏਅਰ ਫ਼ੋਰਸ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਦੌਰੇ 'ਤੇ ਪੁਹੰਚੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮਿਗ-21 ਲੜਾਕੂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਲਿਆ ਹੀ ਉੜਾਇਆ।

ਇਹ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਮਿਗ-21 ਦਾ ਟਾਇਪ-96 ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਹਵਾਈ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਸਿੰਗਲ ਇੰਜਣ ਲੜਾਕੂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਮਾਡਲ ਹੈ।

ਬੀਐੱਸ ਧਨੋਆ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਮਿਗ-21 ਜੈੱਟ ਨੂੰ 2000 ਘੰਟੇ ਉਡਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਰਗਿਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੌਰਾਨ 'ਸੇਫ਼ਦ ਸਾਗਰ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ' ਲਈ ਮਿਗ-21 ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।
