ଶନିବାର ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ଫାଇନାଲ ଫାଇଟ ବେଶ ରୋମାଞ୍ଚକର ହୋଇଥିଲା । ଭାରତ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଗୁରଜିତ କୌର ମ୍ୟାଚର 6ଷ୍ଠ ମିନିଟରେ ପେନାଲ୍ଟି କର୍ଣ୍ଣରରୁ ଦେଇଥିବା ଗୋଲଟି ଶେଷରେ ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣାୟର ହୋଇଥିଲା । 8 ଦଳକୁ ନେଇ ହୋଇଥିବା ଏହି ଟୁର୍ଣ୍ଣାମେଣ୍ଟରେ ଭାରତ କ୍ରମାଗତ 5ମ ବିଜୟ ସହ ଚମ୍ପିଆନ ହୋଇଛି । ସେମିଫାଇନାଲରେ ଭାରତ ଆୟର୍ଲାଣ୍ଡକୁ 2-1 ଗୋଲରେ ହରାଇ ଫାଇନାଲରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିଥିଲା । ଫାଇନାଲ ମ୍ୟାଚରେ ସ୍ପେନ ଖାତା ଖୋଲି ପାରି ନଥିଲା । ସ୍ପେନ ପ୍ରଥମେ ପେନାଲ୍ଟି କର୍ଣ୍ଣର ପାଇଥିଲେ ବି ଭାରତୀୟ ଦଳର ଅଧନାୟିକା ତଥା ଗୋଲକିପର ସବିତା ପୁନିଆ ଚମତ୍କାର ଢଙ୍ଗରେ ଗୋଲ ରକ୍ଷା କରିଥିଲେ । ଫଳରେ ଭାରତର ଆଶା ଉଜ୍ଜୀବିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା । ମ୍ୟାଚର ଷଷ୍ଠ ମିନିଟରେ ଭାରତ ପ୍ରଥମ ପେନାଲ୍ଟି କର୍ଣ୍ଣର ପାଇଥିଲା ଏବଂ ଏହାକୁ ଗୋଲରେ ପରିଣତ କରିଥିଲା । ଶେଷରେ ଭାରତ ଗୋଟିଏ ଗୋଲରେ ଅଗ୍ରଣୀ ରହି ବାଜି ମାରିଥିଲା ।
