ଇତିହାସ ରଚିଥିବା ଭାରତୀୟ ମହିଳା ହକି ଟିମର ପ୍ରଥମ ଅଲମ୍ପିକ ପଦକ ସ୍ବପ୍ନ ଅଧୁରା ରହିଗଲା । ବ୍ରୋଞ୍ଜ ପଦକ ମ୍ୟାଚରେ ଗ୍ରେଟ ବ୍ରିଟେନ ଠାରୁ ୩-୪ରେ ପରାଜିତ ହେଲା ଭାରତ । କଡା ସଂଘର୍ଷପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ମ୍ୟାଚରେ ବିଜୟରୁ ଅଳ୍ପକେ ବଞ୍ଚିତ ହେଲା ଟିମ ଇଣ୍ଡିଆ । ମାତ୍ର ମହିଳା ଟିମର ସମସ୍ତ ଖେଳାଳି ଲଢୁଆ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନରେ ଦେଶବାସୀଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟ ଜିତିନେଇଛନ୍ତି ।
