ଅଖିଳ ଭାରତୀୟ ଫୁଟବଲ୍‌ ମହାସଂଘ(ଏଆଇଏଫ୍‌ଏଫ୍‌)ର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରଫୁଲ୍ଲ ପଟେଲ ହେଲେ ଫିଫା କାଉନସିଲ୍‌ର ସଦସ୍ୟ । ପ୍ରଥମ ଭାରତୀୟ ଭାବେ ଫିଫା କାଉଂସିଲ୍‌ର ସଦସ୍ୟ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି ପ୍ରଫୁଲ୍ଲ ପଟେଲ । ତେବେ ତାଙ୍କର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାଳ 4ବର୍ଷ ରହିବ ।

ମାଲେସିଆରେ ଆୟୋଜିତ 29ତମ ଏସିଆ ଫୁଟବଲ୍‌ ପରିସଂଘ କଂଗ୍ରେସର ବୈଠକରେ ପଟେଲଙ୍କୁ ଫିଫା କାଉନସିଲ୍‌ର ସଦସ୍ୟ ଭାବେ ଚୟନ କରାଯାଇଛି । ସୂଚନାଥାଉକି, ପଟେଲଙ୍କୁ 46ଭୋଟ୍‌ରୁ 38 ଭୋଟ୍‌ ମିଳିଥିଲା । ତେବେ ତାଙ୍କର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାଳ 4ବର୍ଷ(2019-2023) ରହିବ ।

ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ସେ କହିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ମୁଁ ଏଏଫ୍‌ସିର ସମସ୍ତ ସଦସ୍ୟଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଜଣାଉଛି, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ମୋତେ ଏହି ପଦ ପାଇଁ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଭାବିଛନ୍ତି । ଫିଫା କାଉନସିଲ୍‌ର ସଦସ୍ୟ ହେବା ବହୁତ ବଡ ଦାୟିତ୍ବବାନ୍‌ର କାମ । ମୁଁ କେବଳ ଭାରତକୁ ନୁହେଁ, ଏସିଆ ମହାଦେଶକୁ ପ୍ରତିନିଧିତ୍ବ କରିବି ।

ଏଆଇଏଫ୍‌ଏଫ୍‌ର ମହାସଚିବ କୁଶଳ ଦାସ ପଟେଲଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଜଣାଇଛନ୍ତି । ସେ କହିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ଆମେ ଏଆଇଏଫ୍‌ଏଫ୍‌କୁ ନେଇ ବହୁତ ଗର୍ବିତ । ଏହା ଭାରତୀୟ ଫୁଟବଲ୍‌ ପାଇଁ ବଡ ଖୁସିର ଦିନ । ନୂଆ ଭୂମିକା ପାଇଁ ବହୁତ ଶୁଭକାମନା ।
