लंडन - टेनिसमधील प्रतिष्ठेची मानली जाणारी विम्बल्डन स्पर्धा यंदा होणार नाही. कोरोनामुळे ही स्पर्धा अधिकृतपणे रद्द करण्यात आली आहे. ऑल इंग्लंड लॉन टेनिस क्लबने (एईएलटीसी) बुधवारी ही माहिती दिली.
आता ही स्पर्धा २८ जून ते ११ जुलै २०२१ या कालावधीत होईल. १९४५ नंतर प्रथमच ही स्पर्धा रद्द करण्यात आली आहे. यापूर्वी दुसर्‍या महायुद्धावेळी ही स्पर्धा रद्द करण्यात आली होती.
