लंडन : फुटबॉलची जागतिक प्रशासकीय संस्था फिफाला ( Federation Internationale de Football Association ) युरोपीय देशांनी रशियाला विश्वचषक पात्रता स्पर्धेतून तत्काळ वगळू नये आणि देशाला त्यांच्या फेडरेशन फुटबॉल युनियन ऑफ रशियाच्या ( Federation Football Union of Russia ) नावाखाली ध्वज आणि राष्ट्रगीताशिवाय तटस्थ ठिकाणी खेळण्याचे आदेश दिले आहेत.

याशिवाय इंग्लिश फुटबॉल असोसिएशनने असेही म्हटले आहे की, त्यांचा राष्ट्रीय संघ भविष्यात रशियाशी खेळण्यास नकार देईल. जूनमध्ये इंग्लंडमध्ये होणाऱ्या महिला युरोपियन चॅम्पियनशिपसाठी ( Women European Championships ) रशिया पात्र ठरला आहे.
युक्रेनशी एकजुटीने आणि रशियन नेतृत्वाने केलेल्या अत्याचाराचा निषेध करत हा निर्णय घेण्यात आल्याचे इंग्लिश एफएने म्हटले आहे. जर पोलंड, स्वीडन आणि चेक रिपब्लिकच्या महासंघांनी FIFA वर्ल्ड कपच्या कठोर नियमांनुसार ( FIFA World Cup Strict Rules ) खेळले नाही. पोलंड, स्वीडन आणि झेक प्रजासत्ताक यांच्यावर शिस्तभंगाची कारवाई आणि दंड आणि नुकसान भरपाईला सामोरे जावे लागू शकते.
