नवी दिल्ली - आफ्रिकेविरुद्ध खेळल्या गेलेल्या पहिल्या टी-२० सामन्यात भारतीय महिला संघाने विजय मिळवला आहे. कमी धावसंख्येच्या झालेल्या या सामन्यात टीम इंडियाने आफ्रिकेवर ११ धावांनी मात केली.

भारताने प्रथम फलंदाजी करताना आठ गड्यांच्या मोबदल्यात १३० धावा जमवल्या होत्या. त्यामध्ये कर्णधार हरमनप्रीत कौरने तीन चौकार आणि दोन षटकारांसह ४३ धावांची खेळी केली. तिच्या व्यतिरिक्त स्मृती मानधनाने १६ चेंडूत ४ चौकारच्या मदतीने २१ धावा केल्या. त्यामुळे भारतीय संघाने या सामन्यात निर्धारीत २० षटकामध्ये ८ बाद १३० धावा करत आफ्रिकेसमोर १३१ धावांचे आव्हान ठेवले. आफ्रिकेकडून शबनीम इस्माइलने तीन, नदिने डी क्लेर्कने दोन तर, तुनी सेखुखुने आणि नोंदुमिसो शेनगेसने प्रत्येकी एक गडी बाद केला.

१३१ धावांच्या आव्हानाचा पाठलाग करताना आफ्रिकेचा संघ ११९ धावांवर सर्वबाद झाला. आफ्रिकेकडून मिगनोन डु प्रीजने ५९ धावांची खेळी केली खरी पण संघाला विजय मिळवून देण्य़ात तिला अपयश आले. भारताकडून दीप्ती शर्माने सर्वाधिक तीन गडी बाद केले. दीप्तीलाच सामनावीर पुरस्काराने गौरवण्यात आले.
