जॉर्ज फ्लॉईड मृत्यू प्रकरण : अज्ञाताचा आंदोलकांवर गाडी घालण्याचा प्रयत्न

रविवारी रात्री सिअ‍ॅटलमध्ये एका व्यक्तीने अंदोलकाच्या दिशेने गाडी नेत बॅरिकेडला धडक दिली. त्यानंतर पिस्तूल काढत गोळीबार करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला.

वॉशिंग्टन - जॉर्ज फ्लॉईड यांच्या मृत्यू प्रकरणी अमेरिकेमध्ये हजारो नागरिक आंदोलन करत आहेत. पोलिसांनी केलेल्या मारहाणीत जॉर्ज फ्लॉईड याचा दुर्दैवी मृत्यू झाला होता. रविवारी रात्री सिअ‍ॅटलमध्ये एका व्यक्तीने आंदोलकांच्या दिशेने गाडी नेत बॅरिकेडला धडक दिली. त्यानंतर पिस्तूल काढत गोळीबार करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. यामध्ये एक व्यक्ती गंभीर जखमी झाला आहे. त्याला रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले असून त्याची प्रकृती स्थिर आहे. संपूर्ण घटनेचा व्हिडिओ सिएटल टाईम्सच्या एका रिपोर्टरने शुट केला आहे.

जॉर्ज फ्लॉईड या कृष्णवर्णीय व्यक्तीचा माईनपोलीस याठिकाणी मृत्यू झाल्यानंतर संपूर्ण अमेरिकेत मोर्चे सुरू झाले आहेत. जॉर्जला अटक करत असताना, एक पोलीस अधिकाऱ्याने त्याच्या मानेवर 8 मिनिटे 48 सेंकद गुडघा ठेवला होता. जॉर्ज त्याला तो गुडघा काढण्यासाठी आर्जव करीत होता, "मला श्वास घेता येत नाही, कृपया माझा जीव घेऊ नका," असे जॉर्ज म्हणत होता. मात्र, पोलिसाने त्याच्या विनवण्या ऐकल्या नाहीत, आणि जॉर्जचा मृत्यू झाला. त्यावर लाखो अमेरिकन रस्त्यावर उतरले असून, सरकारला जॉर्जच्या मृत्यूबद्दल जाब विचारत आहेत.
