कोची(केरळ) Kochi University Stampede : कोची युनिव्हर्सिटी ऑफ सायन्स अँड टेक्नॉलॉजी (CUSAT) मध्ये टेक फेस्ट हा कार्यक्रम आयोजित करण्यात आला होता. या दरम्यान तिथं चेंगराचेंगरी झाली. या घटनेत चार जणांचा मृत्यू (Four People Died) झालाय. तर 50 हून अधिक जण जखमी झाले (Kochi University of Science and Technology) आहेत. घटनास्थळावरून मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार, चेंगराचेंगरीमुळं बहुतांश लोक जखमी झाले आहेत. प्रसिद्ध गायिका भानुशाली 'टेक फेस्ट'चा एक भाग म्हणून कार्यक्रम करत असताना ही घटना (Cochin University of Science and Technology)घडली.

विद्यापीठाच्या सभागृहात होता कार्यक्रम : शनिवारी 'टेक फेस्ट'चा शेवटचा दिवस होता. कार्यक्रम झालेल्या सभागृहात अनेक विद्यार्थी उपस्थित होते. विद्यार्थी आणि इतर मंडळी नाचत, गाणी गात जल्लोष करत कार्यक्रमाचा आनंद घेत असतानाच पावसाला सुरुवात झाली. त्यामुळं सभागृहाबाहेर असलेले लोक आत धावले व तिथं प्रचंड गर्दी जमा झाली होती. विद्यापीठाच्या सभागृहात या कार्यक्रमाचं आयोजन करण्यात आलं होतं.

जखमींना रुग्णालयात केले दाखल : जखमींना जवळच्या कलामासेरी मेडिकल कॉलेज हॉस्पिटलमध्ये दाखल करण्यात आलंय. मात्र, यात चार जणांचा मृत्यू झाल्याची माहिती आहे. सर्व जखमी हे विद्यापीठातील विद्यार्थी असल्याचे समजते. या कार्यक्रमाला विद्यार्थ्यांसह इतर नागरिकही हजर होते.

यामुळे चेंगराचेंगरी झाली : मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार, टेक फेस्ट या कार्यक्रमाला पासशिवाय प्रवेश दिला जात नव्हता. मात्र, सभागृहात प्रवेश देत असतानाच अचानक जोराचा पाऊस आला आणि गेटजवळ प्रचंड गर्दी झाली होती. पाऊस पडल्यानंतर परिस्थिती नियंत्रणाबाहेर गेली आणि बाहेर थांबलेले लोक आश्रय घेण्यासाठी सभागृहात घुसले आणि चेंगराचेंगरी झाली.
