ഗോൾ രഹിതമായ ആദ്യ ക്വാർട്ടറിന് ശേഷം രണ്ടാം ക്വാർട്ടറിലാണ് ഇന്ത്യ മത്സരത്തിലെ മൂന്ന് ഗോളുകൾ നേടിയത്. ഇതോടെ തകർപ്പൻ ലീഡുമായി ആദ്യ പകുതി അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു. തുർന്ന് രണ്ടാം പകുതിയിൽ രണ്ട് ഗോളുകൾ കൂടി നേടി ഇന്ത്യ വിജയം ഗംഭീരമാക്കി.
