AFCON 2022: ഈജിപ്‌തിനെ മറികടന്ന് കന്നി കിരീടത്തിൽ മുത്തമിട്ട് സെനഗൽ

വിജയത്തോടെ 2019ലെ ആഫ്‌കോൺ ഫൈനലിൽ ഈജിപ്‌തിനോട് കീഴടങ്ങേണ്ടി വന്നതിനു മധുരപ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യാനും സെനഗലിനായി. സെനഗലിനെ ആദ്യ കിരീടത്തിലേക്ക് നയിച്ച സാദിയോ മാനെ ടൂർണമെന്‍റിലെ താരമായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു.

ഇതോടെ എട്ടാം കിരീടം ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ട് കളത്തിലിറങ്ങിയ ഈജിപ്‌തിന് നിരാശ. ആറാം മിനിറ്റിൽ സലിയോസി സിസിനെ മുഹമ്മദ് അബ്‌ദുൽ മോനം ഫൗൾ ചെയ്‌തതിനു ലഭിച്ച പെനാൽറ്റി സെനഗലിന് മുന്നിലെത്താനുള്ള അവസരം ആയിരുന്നു. സാദിയോ മാനെയുടെ ഷോട്ട് ഗബാസ്‌കി രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തി.
