രാജ്‌കോട്ട് : സൗരാഷ്‌ട്രയെ തോല്‍പ്പിച്ച് ഇറാനി ട്രോഫി തിരികെ പിടിച്ച് റെസ്റ്റ് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ. രണ്ട് ഇന്നിങ്‌സിലുമായി എട്ട് വിക്കറ്റ് വീഴ്‌ത്തിയ കുല്‍ദീപ് സെന്നിന്‍റെ പ്രകടനമാണ് 29-ാം തവണയും റെസ്റ്റ് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയെ ചാമ്പ്യന്മാരാക്കിയത്. സൗരാഷ്‌ട്ര ഉയര്‍ത്തിയ 101 റണ്‍സ് വിജയലക്ഷ്യം രണ്ട് വിക്കറ്റ് മാത്രം നഷ്‌ടത്തിലാണ് റെസ്റ്റ് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ മറികടന്നത്.

അഭിമന്യു ഈശ്വരന്‍ (63 പന്തില്‍ 78), ശിഖര്‍ ഭരത് (82 പന്തില്‍ 27) എന്നിവര്‍ പുറത്താവാതെ നിന്നാണ് റെസ്റ്റ് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയെ വിജയത്തിലേക്ക് നയിച്ചത്. പ്രിയങ്ക് പഞ്ചാൽ (15), യാഷ്‌ ദുല്‍ (10 പന്തില്‍ 8) എന്നിവരുടെ വിക്കറ്റുകളാണ് സംഘത്തിന് നഷ്‌ടമായത്.

നേരത്തെ ടോസ് നഷ്‌ടപ്പെട്ട് ബാറ്റ് ചെയ്യാനിറങ്ങിയ സൗരാഷ്‌ട്ര ആദ്യ ഇന്നിങ്‌സില്‍ 98 റണ്‍സിന് പുറത്തായിരുന്നു. മുകേഷ് കുമാര്‍ (4 വിക്കറ്റ്), കുല്‍ദീപ് സെന്‍ (3 വിക്കറ്റ്), ഉമ്രാന്‍ മാലിക് (3 വിക്കറ്റ്) എന്നിവരുടെ പ്രകടനമാണ് നിര്‍ണായകമായത്. മറുപടിക്കിറങ്ങിയ റെസ്റ്റ് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ 378 റണ്‍സ് നേടി.
