ടെഹ്റാന്‍: വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രി എസ്. ജയശങ്കര്‍ ഇറാന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് ഹസന്‍ റുഹാനിയുമായി കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തി. പത്തൊമ്പതാമത് ജോയിന്‍റ് കമ്മീഷന്‍ യോഗത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് (ജെസിഎം) ഇരുവരും ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്തു. ജോയിന്‍റ് കമ്മീഷന്‍റെ ഫലങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് ഉഭയകക്ഷി ബന്ധത്തിലെ പുരോഗതിയെക്കുറിച്ചും അറിയിച്ചതായി ജയശങ്കര്‍ ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തു. വളരെ ഊഷ്‌മളമായ സ്വീകരണം നല്‍കിയതിന് നന്ദി അറിയിക്കുന്നതായും അദ്ദേഹം ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ കുറിച്ചു.

രണ്ടു ദിവസത്തെ ഇറാന്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശനത്തിലാണ് വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രി ഇറാന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്‍റുമായി കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തിയത്. ജയശങ്കറും ഇറാനിയന്‍ വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രി മുഹമ്മദ് ജവാദ് സരീഫും ജെസിഎമ്മിന്‍റെ അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിക്കുകയും ചബഹാര്‍ പദ്ധതിയുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ ത്വരിതപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ തീരുമാനിക്കുകയും ഉഭയകക്ഷി ബന്ധത്തിന്‍റെ അവലോകനം നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. തെക്ക്-കിഴക്കന്‍ ഇറാനിലെ ചബഹാര്‍ തുറമുഖം വികസിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് 2018 ല്‍ ഇരു രാജ്യങ്ങളും 85 ദശലക്ഷം യുഎസ് ഡോളറിന്‍റെ കരാറില്‍ ഒപ്പുവച്ചിരുന്നു.
