പുതുച്ചേരി: പോണ്ടിച്ചേരി യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റിയില്‍ നടന്ന ബിരുദദാന ചടങ്ങില്‍ ശിരോവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചതിന്‍റെ പേരില്‍ മുസ്ലിം വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിക്ക് പ്രവേശനം നിഷേധിച്ച സംഭവത്തില്‍ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി വൈസ് ചാന്‍സലറില്‍ നിന്ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി വി നാരായണസ്വാമി റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് തേടി. ചടങ്ങില്‍ മുഖ്യാതിഥിയായി രാഷ്ട്രപതി രാംനാഥ് കോവിന്ദും എത്തിയിരുന്നു.
മാസ് കമ്മ്യൂണിക്കേഷനില്‍ ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദത്തില്‍ സ്വര്‍ണമെഡല്‍ ജേതാവായ റബീഹ അബ്ദുറഹീമിനെ തിങ്കളാഴ്ച നടന്ന 27-ാമത് സമ്മേളന ചടങ്ങില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കാന്‍ അനുവാദിച്ചില്ല. പൗരത്വ ഭേദഗതി നിയമത്തിനെതിരായ പ്രതിഷേധത്തിന്‍റെ ഭാഗമായി പെണ്‍കുട്ടി പിന്നീട് സ്വര്‍ണ മെഡല്‍ നിരസിച്ചിരുന്നു.

നടപടിയെ അപലപിച്ച മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി നാരായണസാമി 'വിയോജിപ്പിനുള്ള അവകാശം ജനാധിപത്യത്തിന്‍റെ സത്തയാണെന്ന്' ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തു. സംഭവത്തെക്കുറിച്ചന്വേഷിച്ച് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് സമര്‍പ്പിക്കാന്‍ പൊലീസിനോടാവശ്യപ്പെട്ടതായും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി വാര്‍ത്താസമ്മേളനത്തില്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
