കാലാവസ്ഥ വ്യതിയാനത്തിനും സുസ്ഥിരതയ്ക്കുമായി ഇന്ത്യയും ഫ്രാൻസും സംയുക്തമായി എടുക്കുന്ന നിർദേശത്തെ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നതായും മന്ത്രി പ്രകാശ് ജാവേദ്

ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: രാജ്യം പ്ലാസ്‌റ്റിക് വസ്‌തുക്കള്‍ നിരോധിക്കുന്നതിലും ബദല്‍ മാര്‍ഗം സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നതിലും പ്രായോഗികമായി വിജയിച്ചെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര പരിസ്ഥിതി മന്ത്രി പ്രകാശ് ജാവദേക്കർ.

• India has already banned single-use plastic, and categories have also been made. There have been people’s awareness movements built around this too, and the ban has achieved tremendous success and will be taken to the logical end.

ഇന്ന് പല രാജ്യങ്ങളും കാലാവസ്ഥാ വ്യതിയാന അജണ്ടകള്‍ 2050 ലേക്ക് മാറ്റുന്നതായി യുഎൻ‌എഫ്‌സി‌സി എക്‌സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് സെക്രട്ടറി പട്രീഷ്യ എസ്‌പിനോസയുമായുള്ള വെർച്വൽ മീറ്റിങ്ങിൽ പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാല്‍ ദീർഘകാല ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളേക്കാൾ ഇന്ന് നടപടികൾ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നത് പ്രധാനമാണെന്ന് ജാവദേക്കർ ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്‌തു. രാജ്യത്തെ ജനങ്ങളില്‍ പ്ലാസ്‌റ്റിക്കിന്‍റെ ദോഷവശങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് ബോധവാന്മാരുക്കുന്നതിലും വിജയിച്ചുവെന്ന്‌ അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. കാലാവസ്ഥ വ്യതിയാനത്തിനും സുസ്ഥിരതയ്ക്കുമായി ഇന്ത്യയും ഫ്രാൻസും സംയുക്തമായി എടുക്കുന്ന നിർദേശത്തെ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നുവെന്നും പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും ഒറ്റ തവണ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക്‌ ഉപയോഗം തടയുകയെന്നത് എന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
