പട്യാല : കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് വിട്ട പഞ്ചാബ് മുന്‍ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ അമരീന്ദർ സിങ് പുതിയ പാർട്ടിയായ 'പഞ്ചാബ് ലോക് കോൺഗ്രസ്' പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.

ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച അദ്ദേഹം പാര്‍ട്ടി ഇടക്കാല അധ്യക്ഷ സോണിയ ഗാന്ധിക്ക് രാജിക്കത്ത് അയച്ചു. കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് വിടുന്നതിന്‍റെ കാരണങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹം വിശദീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് കമ്മിഷന്‍റെ അംഗീകാരത്തിനായി കാത്തിരിക്കുകയാണെന്നും പാർട്ടി ചിഹ്നം പിന്നീട് പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ട്വിറ്ററിൽ കുറിച്ചു.
