ಟೋಕಿಯೋ ಒಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್​ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಗ್ರೂಪ್​ ಎ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತದ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಹಾಕಿ ತಂಡ ಐರ್ಲೆಂಡ್​ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ರೋಚಕ ಜಯ ಸಾಧಿಸಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದೆ. ಭಾರತದ ಕ್ವಾರ್ಟರ್​​ಫೈನಲ್​ ಆಸೆ ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಟೋಕಿಯೋ: ಇಂದು ನಡೆದ ರೋಚಕ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತದ ಹಾಕಿ ವನಿತೆಯರು ಐರ್ಲೆಂಡ್​ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕೊನೆ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಲು​ ಬಾರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ರೋಚಕ ಜಯ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಗ್ರೂಪ್​ ‘ಎ’ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಇದು ಮೊದಲ ಜಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಮೊದಲಾರ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ಮತ್ತು ಐರ್ಲೆಂಡ್​ ತಂಡ ಯಾವುದೇ ಗೋಲ್​ಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯದೆ 0-0 ಆಟ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿದ್ದವು. ಕೊನೆಯ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ನವನೀತ್​​ ಕೌರ್​ ಗೋಲು​ ಬಾರಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡ 1-0 ಮೂಲಕ ಮುನ್ನಡೆ ಪಡೆಯಿತು. ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಭಾರಿ ಒತ್ತಡದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡ ಐರ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ 1-0 ಮೂಲಕ ರೋಚಕ ಜಯ ಸಾಧಿಸಿತು.

ನಾಳೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಗ್ರೂಪ್​ನ ಕೊನೆಯ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ಮತ್ತು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾ ತಂಡದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸೆಣಸಲಿದೆ. ಮುಂದಿನ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಐರ್ಲೆಂಡ್​, ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ ಗ್ರೇಟ್​ ಬ್ರಿಟನ್​ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಅದೃಷ್ಟ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿದೆ.
